Last Night

This weekend has been fun. I got to spend some time with my friends, boyfriend and family before I leave tomorrow evening. Basically, I feel I'm in the right place to be leaving; on a good note. I still don't think it has hit me. I don't really have butterflies yet. I bet as soon as I get in the airport I will start to freak. I asked Steve if he was ready for me to be a mess tomorrow. I think it probably surprised him, since I don't seem to show much emotion over leaving. But trust me, I will be terribly upset when I have to say goodbye.

It's almost midnight and I'm just going through the list of things to finish packing. I think I'm pretty much done, except I need to pack my electronics and pack my bookbag with reading material and such. I hope I don't forget anything!

Packing the Bags

I finally finished fully packing the suitcases. The whole time I thought I was being too frugal. The amount of clothes I had just thrown in the suitcases looked like I could fit them into one.
But I didn't trust my judgment. So I started packing, Strating with my jeans and pants and I was shocked at how much room they took up. I thought, "oh, oh. Wut if this is TOO MUCH clothing?" I started worrying. I continued packing, alternating clothing with each suitcase trying to get as close to the same weight as possible. I quickly finished and while they seemed full-ish the suitcases wern't packed. And after all that, I realized I forgot to line all the stuff in plastic. Sigh I don't want to take all the clothes out.

I brought one into the bathroom to weigh and it said 22lbs! I was shocked, I thought for sure it was wronged. I weighed myself and the suitcase and it came to about 25lbs. Unbelieveable! I think it weighs more than my carry on (that could be because of the books, hehe) I didn't wight the other one. But it feel the same weight. I'm so surprised.
My sister had a problem with her suitcase weight last summer. What the hell could she have had in it for a week that I don't have for 4+ months? LoL

I need to make another list and make sure I have EVERYTHING I need. If I still have room, you know what that means...SHOES!!!! Yay! and room to bring back stuff from SHOPPING! LoL.

Well I'm trying to figure out an eletrical problem before I go to Oz. I hope I figure it out beforeI leave

I have a problem

I should be packing. But Tetris has it's deadly grip on me.

Little Over a Week

Well obviously I haven't updated this in a while. Hopefully I keep this more updated while in the land of OZ. So, I'm super excited, pretty much everything has been taken care of. I got some awesome new lime green suitcases, my international cell phone, Visa, all my other paperwork done. Now all I have to do is pack and fix my class problem. Apparently there is something wrong with my classes right now. I currently only have 2 classes I need AT LEAST three if not four. Hopefully I get this stuff figured out before I leave.

The way the classes are set up is really interesting. Unlike the traditional American school system in which a 3 cr hr class is held for 3 hours throughout the week (1hr MWF) Aussie classes are only held once a week. My one class has a 1hr lecture on Monday and 1.5hr tutorial (kinda like smaller study groups from what I understand) on Monday as well. And then it's done. No more class the rest of the week. I'm a little nervous about this. Hopefully my other classes are spread throughout the week a little. I don't know what I'm going to do if I only have classes Mon and Tue and nothing the rest of the week. Perhaps become a beach bum?

Well tomorrow is my last full weekend here. I'm going to make the most of it. Perhaps I'll update right before I leave. Or maybe even in the airports if they have WIFI.
